Xàbia’s Soler Blasco Museum continues its upward progress and closes 2017 with 24,550 visits.

Xàbia’s Soler Blasco Museum takes stock of 2017 after 24,550 visitors have passed through its facilities, a figure that again exceeds previous records, following the upward progress of recent years. With respect to 2016, there were 1,425 more people who came to discover the history and local ethnography.
According to the statement presented by the museum’s management, 15,330 individual visits were recorded (62.5% of the total), while 7,146 visitors came in groups and the other 2,074 visits corresponded to the openings of exhibitions and conferences.
Also, as it is a tourist municipality, the percentage of visitors from other European countries (and to a lesser extent other countries in the world) is very significant. In 2017 there were 6,446 foreign visitors, which represents 26.2% of the total; a figure higher than that of 2016, which was 24.4%.
Local visitors, 4,434, accounted for 18% this year, compared to 10.4% for Valencians and 45.2% for the rest of Spain.
The Museum wishes to highlight and appreciate the effort of the AMVX (Asociación de Amigos del Mvsev de Xàbia9 that since its creation in 2013 has managed to translate all the information of the museum (room sheets, informative videos) into English, and since last year also into French, which facilitates the understanding of the contents of the exhibition for a significant number of foreign visitors.
